  • Provide a powerful, shareable film for digital and community engagement

  • Give voice to survivors while protecting their anonymity and dignity

What We Did:

We worked with Wolverhampton-based charity The Haven to produce ‘Home Sweet Home’, a powerful short film created to raise awareness about domestic violence and the lived experiences of women affected by it. The Haven provides vital services including safe accommodation, a 24/7 helpline, advocacy, therapy, and children’s services, and this film was designed to amplify their message and mission.

Shot over multiple days, the film features the real voices of women who have experienced domestic abuse. To protect their identities while preserving the emotional truth of their stories, we used haunting, cinematic imagery to evoke the fear, isolation, and resilience behind each testimony. The result is a deeply moving piece that serves a tool for awareness, outreach, fundraising, and support.

Real Voices. Unbreakable Strength.

Production Approach:

  • Multi-day shoot using stylised, symbolic visuals to represent real survivor stories

  • Voiceovers recorded with the women themselves to preserve authenticity

  • Filmed on location with attention to tone, privacy, and emotional sensitivity

  • Delivered in formats suitable for social media, websites, and campaign events

Deliverables:

  • Primary campaign film for digital distribution

  • Social media-optimised short version

  • Showcase asset for The Haven’s outreach and fundraising initiatives

Outcome:

  • Delivered a powerful, emotionally resonant film that amplifies survivor voices

  • Strengthened The Haven’s visibility and message across digital platforms
